Working Together (For Employers)

The Working Together: Deaf & Hearing People online course is designed to help employers create an inclusive workplace environment for both deaf and hearing workers that encourages effective communication and helps all employees realize their full potential. It is called Working Together because it is about working relationships.

The five self-paced modules in the course will cover topics on:

  1. Myths and Definitions
  2. Hearing Loss
  3. Deaf Culture
  4. Communication
  5. Accommodation and Inclusion in the Workplace

Project Access (For Educators)

Project Access Online explores ways to optimize teaching in the classroom, provides real-life strategies, and provides extensive online resources to help teachers and faculty modify their teaching behaviors to provide greater access to learning for deaf students, which in turn benefits all students.

The four self-paced modules in the course will cover topics on:

  1. Understanding Hearing Loss
  2. Teaching and Learning: Universal Design and Best Practices
  3. Teaching and Learning: In Different Contexts
  4. Assessment
